Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 1PM in the Worship Room.
Across the country, immigrant communities are being targeted, surveilled, and silenced. But in the face of fear and injustice, we rise with courage and solidarity. The New Sanctuary Coalition invites you to a powerful training designed to activate your role as a community protector.
This is more than a workshop—it’s a call to action!
At this training, you'll learn how to respond rapidly to ICE activity, accompany neighbors through vulnerable legal proceedings, and transform your neighborhood into a Sanctuary Hood—a place of refuge, resistance, and resilience.
Led by nationally recognized activist Ravi Ragbir, this session will equip you with the knowledge and tools to stand with those most at risk and defend the values that bind us together.
Accompaniment Program
Be the moral support immigrants need during their most vulnerable moments. Volunteers are trained to accompany individuals to court hearings and ICE check-ins, reminding decision-makers that our communities are watching—and united.
Sanctuary Hood
Canvas your neighborhood. Train your neighbors and local businesses. Build a web of protection to resist ICE raids and prepare your community for the unexpected.
Rapid Response
As a U.S. citizen, you carry both the power and the responsibility to stand and to step up in solidarity when ICE threatens to tear a neighbor from our community. Your presence can be a shield—your voice, a signal that we will not stand by in silence.
About the Facilitator: Ravi Ragbir—husband, father, and nationally recognized immigrant rights leader—has spent nearly two decades mobilizing faith communities, advocates, and public officials to protect vulnerable immigrants. His leadership through the New Sanctuary Coalition continues to inspire and empower communities across NYC and beyond.
